Library PoliciesCollection Policies:Books: Bestseller new fiction is loaned for one week with one renewal. Nonfiction, older fiction, children’s and young adult books are loaned for two weeks with one renewal.Magazines: The loan period is one week with one renewal. Videotapes and DVDs: The loan period is 3 days with one renewal. There is a limit of 4 videos/DVDs per family. Audiotapes and CDs: The loan period is two weeks with one renewal. All materials may be renewed by phone, 570-888-7117, or by an easy to use form on our website. If the materials are not returned or renewed on time the following fines will be charged as follows: 7 Day books, magazines, encyclopedias, and interlibrary loan materials - $.50/day/item 2 week non-fiction, older fiction and children’s materials - $.25/day/item Videotapes and DVDs - $2.00/day/item Backpacks, totes, health boxes - $5.00/day/item As always, Pennsylvania resident library cards are free. Replacement cards are charged $1.00 and out-of-state cards are $10.00/person. Internet Use Policies:The Spalding Memorial Library is providing access to the Internet as a means to enhance the information and learning opportunities for the citizens of the library’s service area. The Board of Trustees has established the Internet use policy to ensure appropriate and effective use of this resource.
